IR 80571 - Armor Steel Crusader Helmet

The Crusader Great Helm was developed early in the 13th century. The Great Helm became the mainstay of the medieval fighting man and lasted for about 300 years. Sometimes worn over a smaller helmet and mail, this beautiful helmet with its menacing, narrow eye slits was a strong, tough steel helmet fully capable of absorbing the shock of combat. This particular version has brass reinforcing bands, and is produced by hand with the same techniques they used over 600-800 years ago. The Crusader Great Helm is hand made of 18 gauge high carbon steel and fully wearable.
